SOUND therapy
What Is It?
Sound therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses sound frequencies and vibrations to support physical, mental, and emotional well being. It is based on the understanding that sound waves can influence the body’s nervous system, brainwave activity, and cellular function. Instruments commonly used include tuning forks, singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and recorded frequencies designed to promote relaxation and encourage the body’s natural healing process.
How Does It Work?
When specific sounds or vibrations are introduced, they can help bring the body and mind into a more balanced state. In short, it is like a massage for your brain! Sound therapy encourages the brain the shift to slower brainwave patterns, such as alpha and theta states, which are associated with deep relaxation, creativity, and stress reduction. Vibrations can also stimulate circulation and relieve muscle tension on a deep level - especially when used in conjunction with massage therapy!

MAKIA (“Mah-Kee-Uh”): Where the attention goes, the energy flows.
Everything in the universe is comprised of energy. From the sun and stars to the air that we breathe. From the hair growing out of our head to the constant stream of thoughts that fill it up. From the food we eat at every meal to the work put forth to complete each daily task. The conversations we have with other humans, even you reading this right now is all an energetic exchange.
In all of its complexity, this entire world we are currently experiencing is just energy manifesting in different forms. It is my personal philosophy that understanding the nuances of the various types of energy we are constantly interacting with will directly impact our ability to master our own energy (mind, body, spirit) and start living from a place of alignment. It all starts with where we are putting our attention and focus. It is a simple choice to make with each breath we take… where is our attention being placed? This is an important beginning step in the self inquiry process. Because wherever our attention is, our vital life force that is responsible for creating our personal reality is flowing directly to it. If you become a conscious master of your own awareness then you can create the life of your dreams.
While the above might seem obvious to some, I believe we all have a tendency to underestimate the negative impacts that both external and internal energetic forces have on our physical and mental health, thus interfering with our ability to experience the state of energetic alignment. I believe peace of mind and feeling amazing inside of our physical bodies is our birthright. It can be difficult to achieve, which is why I have committed myself to a journey of very intentionally channeling my energy into helping heal individuals experiencing stress, pain and ailment through the holistic healing practices.
